Trump should just fine those cities for the amount equal to the aid for failing to cooperate with immigration laws

Another Obama appointed activist judge who ignores the US Constitution

The decision is actually in keeping with the Constitution: first, as it applies to states rights and law enforcement jurisdiction; second, Congress controls the purse, and grants are given for specific purposes, and cannot be remanded beyond its scope.

This is only temporary. Congress appropriated these funds during the Obama administration. The reallocation of funds is annual. Congress can simply mandate that cities who want the funding must cooperate with ICE and the DOJ going forward.

You're right, Congress can refuse to offer the grants, or change the requirements of the grants, once they are up for renewal. But that was not your point, which was constitutionality and activist judges. That was patently false.

Of course this is an activist judge. They judge shopped. This is an activist judge Obama appointed who has been overturned by the Supreme Court numerous times. This is the same judge that barred video, proving Planned Parenthood was selling baby parts, from being shown.

Whatever your opinion is about said judge is irrelevant, to be honest. Many lower court judges have been overturned by SCOTUS, not just Obama appointees. As for PP, barring the video was in keeping with evidentiary standards, not activism. But, whatever floats your boat.

The cities create US wealth. Cutting funding from the cities that create wealth would be stupid.

States like California are donor states. If the "funding" would have stopped CA could save it's money by refusing to give to the Fed gov and make a profit. The logic of this is bs. The president is a clear and present danger to our democracy. #itmfa
