Hey, Cub Scout leader here, don't plan on adding that to the books...if you'd like to help, volunteer with a pack. #BoyScouts

I loved being a girl scout, but not everyone had the same empowering experience I did. Most of my badges were in tech, leadership, and camping skills. If some girls want to join the boy scouts for that same rewarding exp I had in GS, let them.
-
The Girl Scouts can’t add those activities?
-
My point is that they already do. But your experience in Girl Scouts is largely dependent on your scout leader and the emphasis they put on certain skill sets. I was lucky to have a leader who thought it was important to encourage us in STEM. Not every girl has that exp.

Fair enough - as long as the kids are happy, who cares what name is attached

I’m all for gender equality but its called BOY scouts for a reason
-
I agree especially when we HAVE Girl Scouts. Like... really. Girl Scouts is an amazing program,
-
Girl scouts is sooo much worse than boy/cub scouts. It doesn't have the leadership training to be successful. Boy scouts does it (1/2)
-
much better (2/2)

Ok. I'm all for equality but this is ridiculous. So I'm assuming college age boys can now join a sorority, too?
-
Why is it ridiculous? I would have LOVED outdoorsy stuff as a kid
-
Because you have to be a boy to be a Boy Scout
-
Just as much as you have to be a man to utilize the YMCA, right?
-
So I can then by inference utilize a women's bathroom, too?
-
If you identify as a woman, by all means, I’m not gonna frisk crotches...
