It takes approx 2 weeks to take down a crane. The City of Miami warned residents here https://twitter.com/CityofMiami/status/906599747905040384 … The storm formed 10 days ago.
-
They should have worked 24/7 to get it done in the 10 days they had.
-
By that logic, every major city and state on the east coast and along the gulf should follow suit and start evacuating, yes?
-
Because 10 days ago, no one had a clear idea of where the storm was going to make landfall.

They are purposefully allowed to free spin, because if they weren't they would FOR SURE come down. There's no time to take them down.

Attach a generator to them. Call them "Wind Turbines". Recieve Govt. Tax Credit! Geez... Lost opportunity!

Thanks. There were so many complaints of cranes not being taken down in NYC when we had less winds than this. No one said it took so long.
