Police really should have checked that video before they made the initial statement. Regardless of who she is there is no walking it back.

This only means that she didnt break any rules not that she wasnt at "fault". That aside it proves it was just an accident.
-
Understood but reviewing all the evidence before making the statement would have been prudent. The statement made her seem reckless.

She said that from the beginning.
-
Yes, she did, and she acted with class in the press and released heartfelt sympathy to the family of the deceased.

Okay, it might be...I am not on Venus but someone has to answer to the family who lost their loved one...and no one is!?
-
Idk how about the person who drove the car that hit Venus and made the mistake answering for it? Stands to reason if there is fault here
-
She went through a red light...we all do it, it stinks but the outcome is horrible...
-
This is why we shouldn't run red lights! YELLOW = PREPARE TO STOP RED = STOP
-
No, this is why we should read the article first before commenting. Both had green lights-Venus had the right of way as she was in 1st.
-
You couldn't be more wrong. Its impossible for both parties to have the green light at the same time.
#TrueStory -
Didn't say at same time but they both entered on green. Read the article and comprehend
-
Also watch the video!!

In most states you must allow vehicles occupying the intersection to clear it before entering. Sounds like it's not Williams' fault.

A lot of media outlets have already dragged her without waiting for the facts. Smh

Just because someone has a green light that doesnt mean they can go. Sometimes you have to yield to cars coming toward you.
-
Venus wasn't going towards the victim's car. Venus going north, victim car going west. Victim car at fault for not letting Venus finish thru
-
So you're absolutely correct about the green light for victim's car not being legitimate reason for proceeding thru blocked intersection.
-
The left turn car (Mr/Ms Magic) that caused Venus to slow down is to blame, also the car that didn't look before entering the intersection.
-
1/2 Yes, the action of the left-turner, while perhaps not illegal cuz they finished the turn, initiated the unfortunate sequence.
-
2/2 If Venus had hit the left turner, that driver should have justifiably been issued a citation for failure to yield and no fault on Venus.
