She shows obvious intent to harm people and they shot her. What the hell is wrong about that? Being pregnant doesn't make you harmless.

I've seen cops calmly talk to white men armed with a pistol for hours without shooting him, eventually ending things peacefully.

And the same has been seen with black men. I doubt that men ran at them or shot at them. This woman was an imminent threat.

This case also points out the lack of training for police when it comes to dealing with the mentally ill. Changes need to be made.

The tragic shooting of Charleena Lyles could have and should have been prevented. A lady that was pregnant should have mattered.

Being told to drop the knives she was wielding and stay back multiple times should have mattered... some people on here are so unrealistic

The police were told by her family that she had mental illness. Given that, the police should have been more cautious.

They had also already been in an incident earlier where she armed herself.. lots of questions here.. why are her kids still with her
