How do they know its a spy satellite? Such kind of information is detrimental to SpaceX brand and financial performance.

what? ahah it's not detrimental to SpaceX and they said it themselves. It's a NRO satellite meaning it's a spy sat.

The NRO (National Reconnaissance Office) is not part of the military. They operate recon satellites which are spy sat by definition.
