@CNNMoney greed gets greed

i have worked at a bank and its not just employee greed but also managers pressure to hit sales numbers.
-
a managers pressure (I've held both roles in banking) doesn't justify outright fraud
-
no it doesn't but i wonder how upper mgm didnt know
-
I can see how upper management (execs) didn't know but there's no way mid managers didn't
-
yes thats true

@CNNMoney They may want to find a HR consultant. Why do you hire dishonest people@WellsFargo? America is not putting up with this.. -
...shit anymore. That's it. We've had it! America... "In God We Trust"; sales people? Not so much!

From what I know, Wells has a very sales goal drive pay model. Offering way too much incentive to cheat.
-
it was very easy and this was back in 2007. The 2 people I found were making bank w/ fake accts
-
upping their salary by 75%+ with bonuses
-
Yeah, those employees should have probably been instantly flagged for audit.
-
I told my district mng. Nothing happened. If it was obv to me it was obv to them just ignored it

this has happened well before 2011, I found people doing this and it was swept under the rug by district managers.

The bigger question is, of the 5300, how many were managers who dictated these accounts be opened in order to get sales revenue?

The CEO and other executives should be fired. They are the greedy people who came up, encouraged, demanded and incentivized this.

Shouldn't the $165 million be paid to the customers and the $5 million paid in fines? The government didn't get swindled.
