it was an accident, why should someone be charged?

Where some accidents are preventable, allowing your child to get into a gorilla keep can be classified as negligence.

That UNPREDICTABLE animal [not a pet] & they all are unpredictable, was gonna KILL THAT BOY.
@cnnbrk Low fence though, a concern. Inevitable -
No, the gorilla was not nor would one kill the boy. It's not typical for their nature to do that. An adult yes.
@cnnbrk -
minutes pulling him from the water he looked to be nurturing the kid. Was holding his hand
-
Fence was too low.Children R irresponsible.Zoo should have foreseen..low fence, accident, inevitable shooting
-
no one else's kid had any problem with the fence. But they probably were watching their kids
-
I admit I've lately seen kids/brats act outrageously & LITTER in public & parents DO NOTHING.
-
bc they don't watch their kids like parents used to anymore. My parents would flip if I had acted like that

Who would be charged with anything? I certainly hope nobody but the mother!!!
-
That's the only person who would be charged. Neglect, child endangerment

The mother should be charged!
-
exactly! The people responsible for the kid should be charged for negligence.
-
Its high time parents were held accountable for their kids behavior in public. Smdh.
-
because you two are the perfect mothers?
-
My kids behaved in public & werent left to run free in a public place. Parents responsibility.
-
shouldn't the zoo also have better enclosures to where a little boy can't fall in that easy?
-
It wasn't 'easy'. He had to slip through a small space & climb a wall. Parents were negligent.
-
to be honest, I feel it can happen to anybody, we don't no enough to say it was negligence.
