Negligent homicide.

You did one of the fastest and most comprehensive investigations ever here. Good job Benny. Perhaps you can assist with Dr. Ford's allegations. Give the Senate a call.
-
Under the principle of "Mens rea" these are the circumstances that dictate "criminal negligence in homicide". That there may be extenuating circumstances is a matter for the defense.
-
OMG....just a touch of legal trivia and Benny is off an running. Impressive....and impressive that you ran right back into your train wreck, flaming baseless tweet. Double Duh.....Benny....Double Duh.

More than a touch. Please seek help for your

@FBI needs to investigate this! They left these women to die but got themselves free
how is this not negligent homicide! What if it was your wife, mother, daughter, that they let drown but saved themselves? Why were they driving in high water-turn around don’t drown? -
Where in this entire article did it say they left these women to die? Yes it’s completely tragic, but what if one of those deputies were your Mother, wife or daughter? Would you want ppl to just assume they didn’t try everything to save them?
-
It states it quite clearly. The deputies were on top of the van waiting to be rescued while their prisoners were still alive. Wow. Talk about heartless.

They just let them drown. America is a horrible country, people are killed by law enforcement all the time, it's just as dangerous as those shithole countries Trump was talking about. To that I say: look who's talking.

Did anyone actually read the article?? They tried to rescue the inmates but couldn’t open the door as the van was quickly submerged. Unfortunate event for sure.
-
No one on twitter knows how to read, just judge and tweet. News organizations know how to bait the outrage, though.

They didn't escape the vehicle. They abandoned it and the people inside.

These women were mental health “detainees”. I’m not understanding why two people only restrained by a seat belt weren’t able to escape but the officers did? Something isn’t adding up.
-
Because they were shackled. Not seat belted in.

What were those deputies supposed to do? Does anyone know what was happening in the moment? Do you know
@CNN if the deputies tried to get them out? Or are you leaving out vital information because it won't stir up controversy to fit your narrative. I'll wait. -
Yes they tried. They were trapped as well. Rescuers got them from the roof but couldn’t open the door. It’s very detailed in the article, very bad headline.
-
The fact that they were on the roof while the prisoners were still in the van tells you just how hard they tried to rescue them - not very hard at all. They are responsible for those two deaths simply by being on the road in the first place.
