Get that guy inside in the safe where he should be. We don't need him out there potentially risking his life to tell everyone it's windy/raining outside.

And it's not BREAKING NEWS. We've known about it for a bloody week. Breaking news used to mean something. It is not a catchy phrase anymore.

Will never understand why we need reporters to tell us the obvious from ground zero of a hurricane

Why? Every time there's extreme weather news stations around the world make their employees go out in it when everyone else is told to stay inside/evacuate etc. People don't need to see pictures, they know what wind/rain/snow looks like. Surely you have a duty of care to them?

Why do you make people stand in that? It’s dangerous and totally unnecessary. Just put a fixed camera there and leave it for pictures. It’s barbaric.

Let John back in. No reason for him to be out there. It’s silly.

Why don’t you use your resources to help evacuate people?
-
Those people had four days to go or request help to get out. Journalists are not first responders. They have helped in the past, but reporting is their mission.
-
Yes, and it’s also important to remember that some of them can’t afford the gasoline to leave
-
Read my whole statement. They had time to ask for help.
