        Skip NOLA. Hit Houston! Lots of flood worthy houses that didn’t learn their lessons. They’re dying to get flooded again. Instead of building upwards.

        Uh, no. Not everyone can just build upwards or leave. I still have family in the surrounding towns who are STILL rebuilding from Harvey.

        They shouldn’t have lived there in the first place. How do you move into a location that’s below sea level and not realize that your home is going to flood? Ignorance is not the answer. They should have been championing buyouts and the city to build upwards and not out.
