America's inability to take care of Puerto Rico during this catastrophe will go down as one of the biggest failures of any government in the history of the world.

I agree. A catastrophe that could've been helped had Puerto Rico allowed FEMA to access the ports and deliver supplies and aid.
-
True. I have a few family members who work at FEMA. They were unprepared and what aid they offered was stopped at the ports by Peurto Rican officials.
-
Not to mention that corrupt officials funneled off funds that were ment for infrastructure improvements leaving the entire grid susceptible to cataclysmic failure. Guess that's Americas fault too.
-
Porter Rico is America, Puerto Ricans are Americans
-
You mean Puerto Rico. They are considered an Independent country that is a protectorate of the U.S. with citizens rights. That's why the have representatives in the House but not in the Senate. No taxation without representation.

We're only considered full citizens when it's time for war.
-
Blame it on your own corrupt government
-
American is our corrupt government.
-
Wrong, look at your local leaders who left relief supplies rotting in a parking lot and let your infrastructure go to shit all these years
-
No. I blame them and the American bankers who put the island in debt. And the American government for leaving the jones act in place restricting job growth and making Puerto Rico solely reliant on the states. America went to war for taxation without representation then dit it 2
-
Hate to put in my two cents...but the banks didn't put a gun to Puerto Rico's head...your local politicians borrowed money they knew they could never pay back. So...blame the banks...not the communists running that island.
-
A lot of experts on Puerto Rico all of s sudden considering most people didn't even know we were American citizens or even existed until the hurricane last year. I'll let my man john oliver break it down in a funny way for you.https://youtu.be/Tt-mpuR_QHQ
