Greed! I bet the woman who set up the #Gofundme didn't know how successful it'd be and wants some of that $. I sure do hope I am wrong though!

If you read the article, that's exactly what happened. The couple bought him a camper and stuck him in their driveway. They held 300k of the 400k saying "he's got a drug problem, we don't want to enable him." Meanwhile, they buy themselves a new car and take a few vacations.
-
Well, wasn’t that so special of them to decide that they deserved part of the money sent from All Around the World to help him out, not them. KARMA will be busy

-
After everything settles, the LAWYERS will get EVERYTHING.

Buy him the house like you promised and the rest is none of your concern. If he blows it that's on him.

She took a homeless mans last $20 dollars. Did you really think she’d raise money for anyone other than herself? At the very least, she should have helped him that night.

That couple scammed him. When there is a GoFundMe campaign, that money is supposed to go to the person. He probably didn’t have a bank account and so they kept the money in their account. If they were so concerned, they should have helped him get a trust. It is all his money.

Homeless man has lawyer

-
Ever heard of pro bono services?
-
I have. However, initial reaction was homeless guy has lawyer lol. Regardless I sincerely hope he receives what’s owed to him. It’s an unfortunate situation which could drastically improve/change his life.
-
More like lawyer has a client. But that might be my cynical side.
-
yep, lawyer trying to get 1/3 of the fund...everyone profits except bobbit...
-
Dayum! You know a lawyer who only takes 1/3!? Hook me up!
-
That’s pretty standard.
-
Thought it was facetious enough to get a chuckle

You can't fraudulently raise monies under false pretenses and keep it yourself. If they keep any of the monies they need to be criminally prosecuted. All the monies need to given to him as promised. How to spend it should have been his choice not theirs.
-
They will probably try to justify some administrative fee to support the discrepancy.
-
They already did...they said they are holding it until he gets a job and is drug free...just an excuse to keep it
-
If he got a job he wouldn’t need the money!
-
Right cause even with a min wage job in the states that’s enough to live on
