Some of the strictest gun laws in country, some of the highest crime / murder rates involving guns. The correlation is no coincidence. Strict gun control does not work.

What are you talking about? They may have very strict laws but the surrounding states do not. Pretty easy to drive and get a gun in another state. If more guns where the answer Chicago would be a safest city in the world.
-
Is your argument that people are driving across state lines and LEGALLY purchasing weapons? They may well be driving across state lines, but I will guarantee you not one of them was purchased legally.
-
No, most of the weapons in chicago are not LEGAL.
-
Then I guess I don’t understand the argument that it’s easier to get these weapons across state lines. If they are obtained illegally, then they are obtained illegally. Doesn’t matter if they are obtained in Chicago or Gary,IN.

Thank God for those strict gun laws, what a difference it is making!!!!!
-
They come in from all of the neighboring states that don’t have gun control! Here in NYC the problem is nowhere near as bad.
-
It wouldn’t matter if those states had the same gun laws. Criminals are going to continue being criminals, they are gonna get their guns from somewhere.
-
The new liberal cry. Our state with strict gun laws isn’t safe cause other states don’t have strict gun laws.. gotta hand it to them, what they lack in sense they make up for with creativity

And republicans say we don’t have a gun problem

Republicans are soft lmfao You mention strict gun laws and they start crying "dont take my guns"
Gun reform doesnt mean a ban on guns... but try having a logical conversation with a trumper. You've better luck getting the Isrealie/ Palestinian conflict resolved. -
Criminals aren't following the laws that are in place now. Are they going to follow new, better laws?
-
Most gun crime in Chicago is from guns purchased in INDIANA....WISCONSIN....AND MISSISSIPPI. Get a clue.
-
Here's me trying to get a clue, who are the people buying those guns from out of state? Law abiding citizens? If they are, they become criminals the moment they cross state lines to get to Chicago. Do I have a clue now?

Can’t believe some of these replies. This is not a gun issue. It’s a social, societal issue. So many issues in play. Maybe if people worked at making life meaningful, less violence would occur.
