Of course not, shooting a man running away from you is perfectly acceptable in today’s society
-
He had a gun in his hand.
-
The officers did what they were trained to do...period
-
They had a reasonable fear of imminent danger to the public and/or to themselves...that is the only justification for using lethal force...by police or by the public.
-
Absolutely, growing up in a family w/ police officers in it, most people have absolutely no idea what these men & women go thru on the job. Too damn quick to pass judgement.
-
I draw the line when there is no reasonable fear of an imminent threat that ends in a lethal altercation...America is a difficult task given that the possession of a gun isn't necessarily a crime...mistaking a phone for a gun is not reasonable....nor is non violent non compliance

He had a gun he pointed at the police fired once police returned fire.

Always running from the cops. That’s the right answer! CNN, why don’t you report on ALL shootings instead of only focusing on cops shooting black men?

Don't wan't to die? Don't fight with cops. Don't shoot at cops, don't run away from cops, and definitely don't do a combination of any two or three. He did all three.

Carrying a gun and running away. Then they wonder why he is shot. The answer, don’t carry a gun illegally and don’t run when told to stop by police. If he followed these simples rules, he’d be alive today. People need to be held accountable for their actions and decisions.
-
So when a black man has a legal handgun, advises the officer he has it and is shot anyway? What do you do with that precedent? Either way, it’s lose lose for the individual.
-
I can’t respond to a stupid hypothetical question
-
It’s neither hypothetical or stupid. It happened to Philindo Castle. Your privilege is showing.
-
I have no idea who he is
