That right there is a selfish parent that would force that upon their child instead of entering the country legally.

Seeking asylum is a legal way to try to enter the country. They did nothing wrong

Yes they did. They failed to seek asylum at a valid point of entry and instead used it as an excuse when they got caught trying to sneak into the country. Find your integrity and make the honest distinction

Um, you can legally ask for asylum at any point. However, you think it’s ok that she and her mother were separated with no contact? A toddler should be ripped from her family with no guarantee of return? There are +2500 more kids separated from their families. That cool with you?

That’s not how it works... You don’t cross the border illegally and then use the asylum card. As for the toddler, she will be fine.

That is absolutely how the vast majority of these asylum cases are initiated, and they aren’t separating families that come through a legitimate port of entry and make a legitimate asylum claim. Stop lying

Meanwhile thousands of American children are separated from their military serving parents but that is not a news worthy topic for the throes of non deplorables. And let’s not forget the children who are victims of American parents who commit crimes and are in prison.

Our soldiers sacrifice for the better of our country so that we may offer people like this a better opportunity. As for people that commit crimes, that’s on them and they are locked up, not their children. There is nothing illegal about applying for asylum. It is constitutional.

Agreed Sal. My point only being is that CNN disregards our soldiers being separated from their family. And this story is all too consuming

I was a soldier, i volunteered to be separated from my loved ones when i raised my hand. No one made me or forced me, the issue here is the fair and humane treatment of our immigratants
