I’m sure all those people in Chicago who are using guns illegally are watching this protest & are planning on turning in those illegal guns so they are in compliance with those common sense gun laws
Gun laws only apply to law abiding citizens, criminals don’t follow laws

I agree but all the school shootings are happening because of irresponsible parents. So the people who have guns need to go through some sort of mandatory safety course or register the location of their gun or SOMETHING. Something to stop these kids.
-
So again the protests are directed at whom? Law abiding citizens follow existing gun laws, criminals don’t care about the laws or the protesters and their political motives!!!

How does pissing off the entire city of Chicago, including those who might otherwise agree with them, help advance their argument in any way?
-
Activism is not supposed to be convenient. https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2015/oct/07/activists-work-for-a-greater-good-which-may-just-inconvenience-you …
-
From a strategic perspective, what is the objective of the protest? And does severely angering the majority of the city help meet whatever objective that is?
-
You are assuming the majority of citizens don't support this. I suspect you are wrong.

If you want to protest, that's your right but when it pisses me off is when they start blocking streets or walking on highways. That SHOULD be illegal.
-
Free speech should never be illegal anywhere. Chicagoans were notified of the protest in advance, giving ample time for drivers to make other arrangements. Protests don’t have to be convenient or fit your itinerary.
-
Nobody said free speech should be illegal. Like I posted, people have the right to protest but they SHOULD not be allowed to block streets. People have places to go and that is exactly how people get hurt. Stay out of the road & walk on the sidewalk, that's what they are for!
-
No one was hurt during this protest and many Chicagoans supported it. In Chicago, there are many side streets to take around this part of the expressway. They were also raising issues of food deserts, lack of social services etc along with gun violence.
-
I'm glad no one was hurt this time. I've seen so many cities where people do get hurt. I will agree with you when you say Chicago needs to do something w/ the gun violence. That place is dangerous. We had a surgeon who was trying to get to an emergency & they blocked his car.
-
Chicago already has done enough with gun violence. Our neighbor state Indiana is where illegal guns are coming from. Seems like Indiana needs to do something about gun violence.
-

Yeah Chicago is a great model for gun violence!! How many people shot this weekend?? Oh yeah,Indianas fault, not the POS animals in Chicago killing each other!!! National guard needs to come in and arrest everything in sight.

Not a word about their gang violence? Not a word about the fact their Dem Party leaders turn their city into a warzone through poverty inducing policies? Mkay

Remember when Donnie told everyone he would do something about gun violence & crime in Chicago if he became president. Hmm...Just looks like lie 13,569 told by Donnie during the campaign.
-
Perhaps Rahm should do something first. The Democratic mayor of Chicago?
-
Well done! Everything is Trumps fault in the eyes of the democrats.
-
If you replace the word "democrats" with the word "world"...you would be much more accurate!
