Thousands of actual, you know, humans will now die of skin cancer but, hey, coral.

I tend to agree with you but there are non chemical effective uv filters like zinc oxide and titanium dioxide that can still be used. I much prefer chemical sunscreens for daily use, however, as their formulas tend to be more cosmetically elegant.

Why humans need chemicals ? when animals wonder in sun more than us and still surviving ? Are we blocking our regenerative process by using more and more chemicals in the name of new technology ?

You do realize that most animals have a natural sunscreen right? Their fur. However, skin cancer can and does occur in animals. But that's why it's not as big a problem in the animal world.

I suppose Trump will now sign an EO banning Hawaii from banning chemicals harmful to coral reefs.

Thank God! I was there in Nov ‘17. The reefs have died. They should close them down to snorkeling tourists! Let’s hope they recover! Btw, no sunblock when I was in.

It’s not necessarily doing anything to humans, because we’re not the same species as coral, any more than the theobromine in chocolate killing dogs having any bearing on humans
