I had a customer who was asking about production to a non-mainland-china PCB Assembly house. After getting some quotes back which are not even CLOSE to competitive, does anyone have any experience with a PCBA house which isn't 3x+ as expensive as their Chinese counterparts?

@cnlohr Bit of a side question, who are your goto assembly houses in China? My experience is that customers are always very weary of outsourcing assembly to China and would rather keep that local even though cost x3. -
It's usually more than a 3x savings. And,
@Elecrow1 as well as@PCBWayOfficial are both great services for getting PCBs assembled quickly and well.

I am afraid it's not possible to find one. As far as I know, there are many SMT companies from Europe and America that their production house is in mainland China. So why not choose us directly? Quality concern?
