This was one of the closer details I focused on with the second viewing and had just assumed he had Anakin’s saber the first time. I prefer the continued usage bc it reinforces Ben’s crafty side just like his gramps.

Although I disagree with the Vader/Anakin comparison when it comes to Starships. Yes he has the same techniques, but when it comes to putting together the Silencer he totally used his fathers skills.

But YES - I think it’s very much Ben’s Kyber crystal that he cracked. I wonder if that was because of how angry he was or whether the force wanted to reject his turn after the balancing?
