When I tweet that I need buttons on a trackpad, why do people reply that I don't? Do you really think that a computing professional with thirty years of experience somehow isn't able to reach an accurate conclusion about whether the programs he uses work well without buttons?
But if you have a heavily augmented UI (like Maya or something like this), it's just not feasible to use on a buttonless trackpad, regardless of whose it is, unless you completely redesign your bindings for the trackpad, and even then it's still worse, it's just not unusable.
