Has there been any movement on a wgl/etc. update that would better facilitate multi-monitor OpenGL output? My proposal from a while back was this: https://caseymuratori.com/blog_0026 (I give an example of how it would work with wgl, but similar calls could be done on any platform...)
Whether or not other APIs have it isn't really the point here - it's about fixing OpenGL, because it would not be hard to do so, and OpenGL is an API that a lot of people still use.

Actually I found some mention of the possibility of gl and vulkan sharing buffers using nvidia extensions.

Maybe you could use a vulkan device handle and draw to it using gl calls. I didn't look into it. Maybe
