Follow-up on @letsencrypt: I am not so optimistic about it as the folks who replied to my previous inquiry. It seems pretty unstable (for example, they just broke all currently installed versions on the 9th!), and a lot of stuff doesn't even work out-of-the-box...
How does it handle protocol changes, Martins, like the one that apparently happened in January? Does it update itself, or... ?

Or... It won't update itself. In my case it is installed as a package in Linux distribution I use. So whenever I update packages, the latest version of script will be retrieved. I'm not aware of any changes in January, everything works the same for me.

ACME has more than one challenge type. I simply used the other one. It's even negotiated at validation-time! Give LE and ACME more credit.
