Last time I tried it (a few months ago?) it still had all sorts of ridiculousness, like needing a Ubuntu account to use various parts of it.

Not to mention ridiculous crap that's been in there for a long time, like pre-configured guest accounts, which you really need to disable.

So _I_ certainly still run a large script of things to "fix" an Ubuntu install these days, but YMMV.

you got me curious. you rly need an ubuntu account for mandatory use-cases? i tried the ubuntu based linux mint and never got across it
