I think I finally need to do what I've been dreading to do for four years: write a proper memory allocator and tracer. *shudders*
But if you want to stay 32-bit, you'll have to figure out a way to break those allocations up.

Sidenote: have you tried https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/wz223b1z.aspx … (ie., /LARGEADDRESSAWARE)?

If you're a 32-bit app but always running on 64-bit Windows, you may get more space that way...
