(ping times to Google are still 2ms, so doesn't seem to be any sort of connectivity problem)
So, @gmail is now extremely slow for me. Like painfully slow. Has that been happening to anyone else, or just me?

I live in NYC now, so my Internet is just always slow no matter what. I'm pretty sure the packets travel by subway here.
