JetBrains now offers a single subscription option for every product - giving CLion, etc a go right now.
-
of course, that's only useful if you need several. ...I have 6 different IDE's and editors running currently :P

GDB still has a long long way to go, but have you seen Greg Law's CppCon talk on GDB? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PorfLSr3DDI …

you said gdb is very powerful but not very usable, so do you think a proper front-end could make it a decent debugger?
-
Assuming it wasn't extremely slow, yes. All GDB front-ends I've ever used are dog slow, but that might not be GDB's fault.

Well what is you minimum viable feature list for a "decent debugger". Perhaps people can work on one?

We've already been over this extensively:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GfGNPo9Z6mA …

Is there a specific problem with making debuggers for Linux? Or do you have abnormal requirements for a debugger features?
-
I'm not sure if there is a specific problem or not, I just know that there aren't any good ones.
