Is it the way you write parsers in real life though? Ie., is it the same method you use in JAI?

Because I'm curious to see how you usually approach it.

dude recursive-descent basically just works for everything I ever needed to parse https://github.com/goodpaul6/mint-lang/blob/master/parser.c …

Recursive decent, unmodified, doesn't really work if you don't forward-declare.

Obviously you can make a "recursive decent where you implemented the stack", but still it's a difference.

Since JAI doesn't require forward declaration, I was curious how Jon likes to structure his parsers now.

I'd just like to know if the "parsers have to be pausable" aspect lead to any structural preferences.

I'm assuming it still looks "recursive decent-y", but I assume it doesn't use actual recursion as much?

Anyway, I'm still a parser novice so I think I have a lot to learn in this area.

A stream where Jon shows Casey his parsing method and Casey learns and comments and they both discuss!

Well I would certainly be happy with that but I can't say Jon gets much from it :P
