Well considering it doesn't actually work properly yet, I'd hardly say worrying about performance is a core issue.

At the moment it has huge stuttering problems as well as numerous graphical glitches and crashes.

Very true. Odd thing is Doom with Vulkan was very impressive. Could it be underperforming in certain use cases maybe?

Throw some hardware at it right? I love how they showed a really slow vulken demo and blamed the bad laptop for it's performance.

vulkan mainly helps right now on CPU bound scenarios. NV's GL drivers take much better advantage of GPU bound scenarios atm

I don't understand why we're even still pursuing Vulkan at all? Why aren't we just trimming down OpenGL?

I'm glad we're moving away from binding model, especially with multi-GPU. Aligns with OpenCL / etc.
