@tom_forsyth So the fact that anamorphic actually _compresses_ vertically is counteracted by the fact that the bokeh starts out oval!

@tom_forsyth@won3d I bet that's what's happening. So the focal plane warps 2:1, but _past_ that it's, you know, 4:1 eventually. -
