So what are people's thoughts on melee combat in 2d Zelda style games? It feels weird to me to have movement be constrained to each axis.

don't really have that luxury of guaranteed analog control on PC. Ntm it's hard on the art to have a bunch of angles when the game is 2D.

So, I guess my argument comes down to whether dive dive should be switched to full diagonal moment, when I feel like the combat suffers.

@mvandevander But then again, it's hard to say if maybe I would have liked them even more with diagonal attacks.
