So what are people's thoughts on melee combat in 2d Zelda style games? It feels weird to me to have movement be constrained to each axis.

@cmuratori Yeah I think that was my reasoning for doing it that way in dive dive originally, I just wonder if it is the best thing. -
@cmuratori Course I'm not a big fan of binding of Isaac because of the shooter aspect of it. Hence Dive Dive being melee oriented. - Show replies
