I would prefer our game run at 24fps, but I just hate changing the user's resolution on game startup so I guess we're going to be 30 :/

@cmuratori Really, why? Does that mean you prefer PAL in principle?1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -

@hamishtodd1 Yeah, in some sense PAL is better that way.1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -

@hamishtodd1 The reason is because there are things you want to do that are helped by having the motion not be smooth.2 replies 0 retweets 0 likes -

@hamishtodd1 30fps is pretty smooth. The eye starts seeing the jumpiness around 27fps in my experience.1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -

@hamishtodd1 24 is a sweet spot where it looks like movement conceptually, but you are still subconsciously aware of the still images.2 replies 0 retweets 0 likes -

@cmuratori@hamishtodd1@Kknewkles Ah, I was assuming you were concerned primarily about 60hz. Yeah 120 and 144 can both display 24.1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes
@mvandevander @hamishtodd1 @Kknewkles So this is actually pretty cool, because I can check for 120 and then do 24 if I see it.
