@cmuratori Couple of times I've had to manually assign a drive letter to an external drive in Disk Management. -

@cmuratori have you tried disabling "Advanced power options"-> "USB Settings/USB selective suspend"? I had problem with that once. -

@cmuratori Try turning on and off the USB (root) controller(s) in device manager. Happens often with my laptop. -
