@tHeNeXuS@handmade_hero Most modern gaming machines are 4 physical core but 2 hyperthreads per core, which is 8 threads.1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -

@cmuratori@handmade_hero Intel CPUs do, not AMD (will from next gen). Actually current AMD CPUs have only 1 FPU per 2 integer units... :/1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -

@cmuratori@handmade_hero Besides 50% of Steam users only have dual-cores (if you believe the survey). :)1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -

@cmuratori What runs at 30 FPS on your CPU might not on "gaming" systems. I get that we will have a HW renderer, just pointing it out. :)1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -

@tHeNeXuS We don't want to limit our testing to a certain number of cores because it is the minimum specification.1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -

@tHeNeXuS Minimum spec machines can always run at a lower resolution, etc. So it's important to optimize for maximum spec as well!1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes
@tHeNeXuS Plus this game will ship over a year from now! So the low end will continue to move upwards in that time, too.
