Garbage collection helps programmers the way training wheels help cyclists. The analogy is pretty much exact.
@samskivert In all cases that I've seen people argue that, the actual code could have written much more straightforwardly.

@samskivert And been higher performance as well, since it would not have needed GC. I've literally _never_ seen the use case. -
@cmuratori As an example, the entire Haskell language &c would be infeasible without GC. Dismissing that outright is a pretty big hand wave.
