Can we please just make a five-year plan to stop having graphics APIs at all? Like, we don't have "CPU APIs", we just have ASM.
@AndrewLauritzen Well, first of all, you get a ton of performance _back_ for getting rid of the driver - note DX12 vs. DX11 for example.

@AndrewLauritzen 2nd, I would trade quite a bit of performance for a stable GPU ISA. Stability and compatibility are today's big problems. -
