I'm worried that the baby thinks people can't change.

... here is the code snippet of the interesting part, in case it becomes useful to someone (it might be wrong):https://gist.github.com/danielbenmergui/27e576d15f19cc8f8f6b …
@danielben (also, note that you've got an O(n^2) scalability problem because you're checking against all previous points...)
@danielben (to do large datasets with this, you need to use some kind of spatial datastructure like a grid or quadtree to accelerate this)
@cmuratori that I know, but I can't figure out the bias thing...
@danielben Make a test app that just plots a ton of random points all from the base point of 0,0 with the code you've got there.
@cmuratori I see... they concentrate in the inner ring because the area is smaller, right? http://snag.gy/pKNxS.jpg
@danielben Yes. It's not actually a problem, which I will talk about next week, but it is also trivial to make uniform with a sqrt.
@cmuratori Both use the same random number sequence. I have a hard time noticing a qualitative difference... http://snag.gy/eq2sg.jpg
@danielben There will be good diagrams of the difference next week.
