Testing encryption is very difficult. The only time you find out whether it does or doesn't work is when you find out it doesn't work.

@cmuratori Why do you need to test encryption?.. Unless you're creating your own algorithm? Usually it's sufficient to use existing tech.1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -

@intrepidis _Any_ use of encryption requires extensive testing to ensure you are not vulnerable to attacks _on your usage thereof_.1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -

@cmuratori We used Vi Labs' CodeArmor to protect our software (office-type applications) and they helped make the process easy.1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -

@intrepidis Wait, what? What does CodeArmor have to do with encrypting information? It's just a copy protection scheme.1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -

@cmuratori Encryption technology is used to obfuscate your code. Sorry, I obviously misunderstood whatever it is you're doing.1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -

@intrepidis That is a very different thing. That is not encryption worth testing, because it is insecure by definition.1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes
@intrepidis So I can tell without doing _any_ testing that the encryption is easily broken.
