Do you have opinions on whether trilinear is important? I figure idtech5 is one of few places it's a big decision.
@tom_forsyth Yep, just plain old trilinear. You must maintain an extra MIP and more padding on SVTs for it, so it's a bunch of extra cost...

@JonOlick@tom_forsyth Yeah, I suppose shaders are so crazy these days anyway, two bilinear SVTs and a blend is not at all ridiculous.
