Today we learned that @hover, despite having literally no job other than to serve DNS records, actually is incapable of serving DKIM records with large keys because they can't handle large TXT record sizes. So, anyone have suggestions about where to move our DNS? This is absurd.

CF, unless you have concerns about how much influence they already have

My main concern with cloudflare is, didn't they unilaterally take down a site at some point? I seem to recall something like that. I wouldn't voluntarily work with an infrastructure provider that has done something like that in the past (same reason we don't use AWS).

You’re thinking of https://blog.cloudflare.com/why-we-terminated-daily-stormer/ …? Yes, it happened. I can make peace with it, but I understand the concern.

Not sure if that's the one I'm thinking of, but yeah, that is sufficient for me never to even consider using them for anything. I would have no idea if I could trust them.

They did state: "Our terms of service reserve the right for us to terminate users of our network at our sole discretion." And it makes sense too. Would you run a service like CF, and not reserve yourself that right?

Of course I would. I believe in network neutrality. I don't believe in censorship. If I was cloudflare, we would only have cost-based things (like if you use X amount of resources we charge you Y). We would never look at your content or your behavior, ever.

I'm not sure where the line is. Who gets to stay neutral, and who is responsible for the content they serve? They're not just passing it through, they are hosting.
