Surely lifestyle modification may have to prevail in the short term, because 'space travel and technology' aren't there yet. And presumably, there is a deadline (even if it isn't accurately predictable) for action that prevents us waiting for magical technology. Want2b persuaded

Yeah it sucks, being a responsible society it's a solution, but that will never happen, or if it happens, it wont be in time. I feel like tech just kicks the ball down the road until we catch up again in the future.
