I'll add: Anybody who watches/listens to videos with Descriptive Audio knows that the standard is to be judicious with the details you include. Race is frequently omitted, unless it actually matters. The assumption that race really matters here is unjustifiable.

Yes. It is clear that they cared about race very specifically. They did not describe where they were, what they were wearing, who was taller, what the room looked like, that they were standing, etc. Race was clearly what they thought was most important.
