Obviously many things took place at WIV and related institutes that we do not know about, but in terms of things we have positive confirmation of, I do not believe that was one of them. So there may have been no reason to mention the other grant in the article?

Maybe the NIH grant just wasn't well known at that time the article was written? Although the Intercept seemed to have known about it weeks before. It was well known at the time of the article, but the final report was missing. This whole thing is a disaster zone that for some reason "the media" has ignored completely, presumably because they aren't interested in things like, you know, _what is actually happening_ :)
