I suppose we could also thank Apple and Google for helping us by taking 30% on both platforms. So you don't have to go, "hmm, how much does a 30% cut on Apple affect total mobile bottom line", because it's conveniently also 30% on Google. Thanks, Apple and Google!

Could it be that the money that they have is from the money that they charged and received? There very well might be a connection.

We can only speculate.

How much does it affect the bottom line? It’s unclear. We can never know.

What we need is a brave whistleblower from Roblox to leave the company with copies of the thousands of internal documents we need to scrutinize in order to tease out exactly how much a 30% cut took off $923.89mil in reported revenue.

Is he not referring to Roblox's bottom line, not developers?

But Roblox has "only" made $2 billion in lifetime mobile revenue according to SensorTower. Market cap shouldn't be in the picture, which is causing this confusion: "Apple/Google take $900 million, and Roblox are worth $38 billion, so... 2.4%?" Unless I'm the one that's confused.
-
Well, if you actually want to do the computation, you have to use revenue not market cap, since market cap is a meaningless number (it's just shares outstanding times share price).
