Are there any examples of people giving "talks" on twitch/youtube directly, versus giving a talk remotely at a virtual/remote conference? I'm realizing now that giving a talk in that way sounds pretty fun and easy to me, since i already have a lot of that infra built up

yeah, i think i agree. I just wonder if COVID provided an acceleration towards this where more people are now thinking of it this way. I still miss in person conferences for the interactions that result, but am seeing much less value in remote conferences

The interactions now happen on
@discord, generally, since you usually have a discord linked to your Twitch. It's all terrible, of course, because these services are low-quality and designed around making money or increasing valuations, not around a vision of the future. - Show replies
