Not to beat the dead horse, but even that seems unlikely. The vast majority of purchasers don't know what kind of nVidia card they're getting. It is often the salesperson that decides for them, or the OEM. It's much like the vaccine - the medical professional picks it.

This is already true in most vaccination scenarios. I don't know who made my last flu vaccine, or what its name was. I don't know who made the travel vaccines I last got for going abroad (hepatitis, tetanus, etc.?) It's rare that people know the brand name of a vaccine, I think.

In this case I think there was more awareness of these things because they were brand new, emergency authorized, and politicized. That's just not how it usually is. I doubt most people will know or care even whether a vaccine they get in the future is from Moderna or not.
