Afghanistan over the last week was a crash course in how a hollow state ends. What can't quite be said out loud but serious people are bringing up in meetings is how many Western countries are hollow states as well. We have to go back to realist statesmanship. Quickly.

We've been running on 20th century fumes. All major Western powers need deep reform. Two areas of focus should be: 1. Improving quality of ruling class. 2. Restructuring key bureaucracies. Economics are bad, but we're not yet at a point where addressing those is practical.

How about if you watch some of the videos, or read some of the material, where he discusses these kinds of topics at length, rather than assuming he doesn't, and putting noise into my Twitter feed.

I mean, I might be interested if presented in a less vague way. I think the onus is on the tweeter to be interesting and upfront about what their actual idea is. Do you disagree?
