Another day, another CLANG codegen bug. This time, an actual crash bug, _in a debug build with optimizations off_ :( I guess I have to bail back to Visual C++ for now. It's not really feasible to keep programming with this kind of compiler bug frequency.

this is really interesting - I have had the complete opposite experience :p never hit a clang codegen issue, but have found two or three in msvc in the last few years. I wonder what the difference is

That's shocking. I wonder how we get by-we use it for everything but our windows/Xbox builds. Were they all debug related? All under windows?

And, if you have them, I’ll take Godbolt links (or reproducers) for the other two codegen bugs also? As I said before, we all want Clang’s codegen to be (a) decent and (b) bug free. If you find things that aren’t, we should fix them.
