That is three codegen bugs in, I think, seven days?? I don't know how long it took me to hit three codegen bugs in MSVC, but I think it was something like a decade.

What was the bug?
-
The bug was that it was taking an expression like (ptr + 16) and the "debug spill to stack" code was spilling the _post_ +16 value to the stack. So the next time someone tried to use it, it was wrong.

bugtracker link?

I rage quit, I'm just going back to MSVC. CLANG has wasted way too much of my time.

I heard only good things about clang from you when you used it on linux. Is clang buggy only on windows?
-
Surely it's the same codegen assuming the architecture is the same? (minus ABI differences)

I realise asking you to file a bug report is likely to result in you exercising your caps lock key, so I won’t bother with that, but do you at least have a Godbolt link?
-
if only more developers understood this. Many projects look 'reasonable' because of few bugs reported, but once you realise what hoops you need to jump through (and stop your workflow) to tailor to their reporting needs, you realise bugs are probably 100-fold.
